A step into Spring

Turtle neck - Primark
Jacket - H&M
Jeans - Primark
Trainers - Nike
Jewellery - Lovisa and Primark

London had a lovely spell of sunny weather last week (despite the fact that it was February - global warming is very scary), and I often find it a bit difficult to create transitional outfits that are weather-appropriate yet still modest. This was the one that I came up with that day, an outfit that I felt really comfortable and cute in. I also love this jacket so much - it was such a steal at only £10 reduced from £40 in the H&M January sale! It’s a really nice, transitional piece due to the lightweight material and I feel like the colour khaki really suits me, too.

Minimalist Maxi Dress.

Dress - Stradivarius (£19.99)
Boots - Primark (£12)
Jacket - Boohoo (around £25)
Jewellery - Primark (£1-£3)

I am in love this dress and have been wearing it non-stop since I purchased it (which you will probably tell by the amount of times it's been featured on my Instagram!). It's a great transitional piece for the colder seasons and can be worn dressed up or down as it is very versatile, too. Here, I have paired it with tights, boots, a coat and complimenting jewellery for an evening look but I also like wearing it with a denim jacket and trainers for the day!

Pop of red

Top - Primark
Jacket - ASOS
Trousers - Missguided
Shoes - Primark
Bag - Monsoon
Hoops - Primark

I really loved wearing this outfit as I found all the pieces super flattering and comfortable to wear, and when put together I feel that I created a very classy and timeless look that was still fun due to the pop of red on the shoes and lips. I still can't quite believe that those loafers were only £3 from Primark too! I love these for when I can't hack heels, which is most of the time to be quite honest.
Also, happy new year and here's to much more frequent blog posts in 2018!

High Street Beauty Haul

I've been splurging a little bit on makeup recently, so I thought I'd show you all some of the bits and bobs that I've picked up from the high street recently.

£4.19
First up, I had to make a repurchase of my all time favourite concealer from Collection in Superdrug. The Lasting Perfection concealer in Warm Medium is something I've loved using for years, it is a perfect match for my skin and it's medium to full coverage which I always like to go for. I can't rave about this enough.

£1.00
Beauty blogger Simply Tasnim (who I adore) posted a swatch of this Primark lip liner against Mac Soar and it was basically a dupe. I've used it once so far and for the price, I'm really pleased as it's a gorgeous colour with great staying power. You can't really go wrong and I do love a bit of Primarni me.

£9.99
This Garnier BB Cream in the shade Medium is amazing. It is a great colour match for me, feels super light on the skin, controls oil and actually provides decent coverage unlike a lot of BB creams on the market. I like using this day to day rather than a foundation because of how lightweight it is
and I just love the fact that it provides a great medium to full coverage. I'd definitely recommend this.

 £1.50 each
I've always loved Primark makeup brushes as they're super soft, great quality, apply makeup beautifully and they're such good value for money! Legit, you need to at least try one. Here I have a Foundation & Concealer brush, a Powder Foundation brush (which I prefer for stippling on liquid foundation) and the Eyebrow Brush. I love them all, but the brow brush is definitely my favourite as it really reminds me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills brush and it applies my brow powder perfectly. You've also got to appreciate how good they look! I love the rose gold detailing on these brushes.

 £8.00
I saw this palette on Kaushal's Kylie Jenner tutorial and it looked so good when she used it, so I had to purchase it as it is only £8 for 32 colours; you can't go wrong. It's the Flawless eyeshadow palette by Makeup Revolution and I although I haven't used it just yet, I know I'm going to love it and be able to do a lot with it. The colours I've swatched are Smudge, Burgundy Nights and Gold Digger and they have decent pigmentation and they're super buttery.

£6.00
This is the Cover and Conceal Palette by Makeup Revolution and it's in the shade Light to Medium. I repurchased this as I adored using it the first time round; it has great colours for highlighting and contouring and the concealers are super creamy and have great staying power. They're not the highest coverage but I'm willing to work with that as I got a lot of use out of it last time and it didn't run out for a good five or six months.
